Sinare Fatimata ouilma

A lawyer by training, a gender and development advisor, and a women’s and youth empowerment coach, I have established myself as a key figure in promoting women’s and youth rights in Burkina Faso. My leadership has earned me several strategic positions, including project coordinator, research officer, project manager, program officer, and country representative.

Currently, I have created Gender Vision & Coaching (GVC), a center of expertise in gender and development, promotion of human rights and coaching in Ouagadougou which I direct.

I am also a member of several civil society organizations: YANDUANMA Network, Vision Plurielles NGOs, African Union of Coaches (UACOACHS), The Islamic Center in Burkina Faso for Dialogue and Living Together (CCIB), Humanitarian AES and African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA).

As President of the Peace and Security Network for Women in the ECOWAS-Burkina Faso region from February 2019 to April 2023, I played a key role in the involvement of women on the one hand in the promotion of peace and security ( https://fb.watch/xAx_3lMW2h/ ; https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=1527695330956961 ; https://www.facebook.com/share/1XkbT1Ry5C/ ) and on the other hand in the prevention and fight against violent extremism (Implementation of the program on the involvement of women and young people in the Sahel and the ECOWAS region in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism with funding from UN WOMEN and the Prevention of Violent Extremism Program in West Africa and the Lake Chad region with funding from the European Union).

Today, as Chair of the Board of Directors of African Women Lawyers Association Chapter Burkina Faso (AWLA Burkina Faso), I had the opportunity to chair the organizing committee of the AWLA 2024 international conference in Ouagadougou from November 18 to 22, 2024 under the theme: “Women’s economic empowerment, driving sustainable development: Let’s unite, invest in women, accelerate progress” (See Facebook page awlaburkinafaso ).
