Funding organizations is one thing, but walking the journey alongside partners throughout the process is what truly creates meaningful impact.
With the guidance and support of SAAF, grantee partners in Uganda recently convened at the Alliance of Women Advocating for Change (AWAC) offices for a collaborative meeting aimed at deepening understanding of the work being implemented across different organizations. The gathering provided a valuable platform for partners to share experiences and lessons from their ongoing efforts to improve access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services and information, including safe abortion services.
The meeting was not only productive but also warm and energizing. There was laughter and heartfelt reunions as partners who had not seen each other for a long time reconnected. Beyond the warm interactions, partners engaged in important discussions on how to further strengthen the SRHR movement in Uganda.

Partners also explored several advocacy opportunities where collective action could accelerate progress and amplify impact. By sharing knowledge, aligning strategies, and reinforcing partnerships, the meeting reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in advancing access to SRHR services and information.
The key takeaway from the gathering was clear: strong partnerships and coordinated advocacy remain essential in driving meaningful change and expanding access to SRHR services across Uganda.
