Last Friday, Voices for Health and Development joined members and partners of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Uganda (AOGU) for an intensive Marketing and Branding workshop facilitated by Joseph Rwabutomize, of BluePrint Leadership Group. Joseph opened the session with a memorable insight: “If branding is your voice, marketing is your microphone.” Throughout the day, participants engaged in practical discussions and exercises focused on strengthening how organizations present and promote their work. Key highlights included:
Intentional Branding: Ensuring that every element, from logos to messaging, consistently reflects the organization’s mission and values.
Storytelling for Impact: Turning data and achievements into relatable, human-centered success stories.
Digital Marketing Strategies: Leveraging scheduling tools, social media, and short-form videos to expand visibility and engagement.
Crafting Resonant Messages: Creating clear, powerful narratives that connect authentically with donors, partners, and communities.
Participants left the workshop equipped with actionable resources, including ca campaign blueprints, messaging checklists, and digital tools, ready to elevate their communications immediately.
This workshop reinforced the importance of strategic branding and marketing for civil society organizations working to expand their influence and deepen community trust. At Voices for Health and Development, we are energized and ready to apply these new strategies to continue amplifying our impact.
